What do we mean by “a secure second computer”?

It’s not a single application. It’s a secure, always-on workspace that lives at the edge — where your apps, data, and communications stay protected, even as you move between devices and sites.

Azblink NFV provides the foundation. The examples below show how that foundation becomes a “second computer” in real deployments.

Secure multi-site app access
Multi-site fabric · Secure mobility · Per-VM isolation for intranet apps. Run internal applications across sites on a private Azblink NFV backbone, with users connecting securely from branches or Mobile VPN instead of exposing apps to the public internet.
Role 1
Multi-OS workspaces
Run multiple Windows and Linux desktops for office work, operations, dev/test and monitoring. Each workspace is isolated from the others and from the user’s everyday PC.

Virtualized firewall / router / VPN / SBC
Consolidate firewall, routing, VPN and SBC into the same node. Use virtual bridges and zones to separate WAN, internal, DMZ, guest and management traffic without piling up separate appliances.
Role 3
Always-on edge node
Dedicate VMs for AI pipelines, NVR gateway / video analytics, and data‑protection workflows — while keeping large storage on a NAS or separate server. Pin CPU and memory, throttle I/O, and auto-start workloads so background jobs never disrupt frontline desktops. Use the NFV fabric to route, segment, and secure traffic between compute VMs and storage systems.

Azblink NFV gives you a compact private cloud node that lives where work actually happens — in branches, homes, labs and micro data centers. You keep the control plane, the data and the policies on your own hardware, while still running multiple operating systems, apps and services on a shared NFV platform.
